This is the road/trail up the hill toward our campsite. It isn't all that far or all that steep but it sure feels that way after a dozen trips or so per day. At Powhatan camps uphill from the dining hall are "hill camps" which means we eat early breakfast and late dinner in their two shift dining scheme. Last time we were at a "valley camp" and I think that's a less convenient schedule. So far the weather has been delightful. We had an afternoon thunderstorm yesterday but it brought only a brief sprinkle. The sound of the thunder echoing down the valley was great. We're sharing a campsite with a troop from National Capital Area Council. Both the boys and the adults are pleasant and friendly; they're good neighbors.
