News from the Mountain

Brad called this evening and Crew 3 was settled in at Mt Phillips Camp, elevation 11,650 ft. I asked how they were and Brad replied, "Cold." Earlier they had been on top of Mt Phillips (11,771 ft) and had raised the American and Texas flags on the flag pole that is at the top. They didn't stay very long as thunder was heard! Time to get off the exposed mountain top. Jonathan P. celebrated his birthday with pound cake and apple pie filling supplied earlier in the Trek by their Ranger. John had saved the candle from Tyler G's birthday. Happy 17th Jonathan! They ran into (not literally) Crew 1 and Brad said they were all looking good! That was good to hear. (note: every Crew is issued an American flag to carry on their Trek)
