Horseshoe Bend camp is well known for their horsemanship program and for the trail rides - every kid at camp that wants to gets to go on an hour long trail ride (our troop's ride is on Tuesday). I guess you can tell that they take their horse program seriously when the horse barn is more elaborate than the dining hall! We've got several boys taking horsemanship merit badge and hopefully all the boys will take the opportunity to go on the trail ride. The first photo here is the barn and corral with horses saddled and ready for the first group of trail riders. The second is the horsemanship class area with the first period horsemanship boys. Sorry, its hard to make out too much here -should have zoomed in a bit.
