This year at Lost Pines, we have a Living History Venturing Crew who have set up a frontier cavalry camp. They have authentic tents, camping gear, even uniforms. It's really interesting for the boys (and might represent an opportunity to explore that interest as they get older; there's at least one Living History crew that meets within driving distance of Georgetown). Anyway, the downside is that the Army always needs recruits, and it appears that some of our guys got conscripted. Oh well, at least y'all won't have to feed them any more, and they might even get paid a bit but if not you can rent out their room until their term is up. Not sure they'll be real effective fighters until they exchange those wooden guns for real ones though.
