Usually the boys are so active at camp that they're starving every meal, so there's the opportunity to go back for more if they need. But they have to eat quick because the meal shifts are fairly short. A few years ago we switched to a 2-shift dining schedule at Lost Pines, which has some big advantages - chief are that it is less crowded and the lines are shorter so the food is still hot when you get it - but a consequence is that they have to be pretty focused on getting the meal down (rarely a problem for growing boys!)
